Handling
Your
Order
The
following information is provided as a service to our customers and potential
customers. It explains how we handle your order and answers some questions
you may have.
Inquiries
and Quotations We welcome inquiries about any of our fastener products or services. Complete descriptions of your standard industrial fastener or special fastener requirements allow us to provide prompt, efficient quotations and service.
Samples
Samples sent with inquiries will not be returned, unless
requested.
Plating
Orders When ordering plain finish parts to be plated
by the customer, the purchase order should advise the type plating that
will be applied (Zinc, Zinc Phosphates, Cadmium, etc.) so the necessary
allowances are made in manufacturing for plating buildup.
Prices
Prices are based on shipping total orders. Otherwise, release
quantity price will prevail. All prices are subject to change without
notice.
Terms
Net 30 days. All shipments are F.O.B. Martin, Tennessee.
Delivery
Shipments are made as soon as possible after receipt
of an order. Delivery times often can be shortened, provided we are given
reasonable notice of the requested change in scheduling. Acknowledged
shipping dates are based on current scheduling conditions at time of order
entry.
Routing
Shipment Unless specified, we will use our best judgment
in routing your shipment. All shipments are forwarded freight collect.
Cancellations
Subject to our approval.
Tolerances
All items will be manufactured to IFI tolerances unless
otherwise specified.
Overruns
and Underruns It is difficult to produce a specified
quantity with our high speed equipment; therefore we operate within a
10% over or under.
Packing
Slip A packing slip is attached to each shipment so
your receiving department can quickly identify and check incoming shipments.
Shortages
Claims for shortages or goods damaged in transit should
be taken up directly with the delivery carrier. We will gladly assist
you by furnishing proof of shipment.
Defective
Material It is our intention to replace all defective
material. Claims must be made within 30 days of receiving shipment. Please
send samples of rejected material for inspection and immediate disposition.
No claim will be allowed on material returned without our approval.
